WWII German NSDAP silver service set featured on Manion’s International Auction

Items from WWII Germany sent home by US Army Veteran for sale on www.manions.com

Kansas City, Kansas (February 16, 2007) – When US Army Captain Sterling Hill returned from Europe after WWII, he was surprised to find a crate of “liberated” political silver service items waiting for him in a barn on his family farm – nearly a year after it had been shipped home from occupied Germany.

According to his son, Captain Hill took part in liberating a building previously occupied by high-ranking NSDAP officials and high command military personnel. On the top shelf in an obscure closet, Hill discovered a cache of NSDAP silver service items. He shipped them home, but never really expected to see them again…

Today these extremely rare items are consigned for sale with Manion’s International Auction House and bids may be placed at www.manions.com. Several of these unique pieces are scheduled to close March 1, 2007. Some of the items include:

These objects have been consigned to Manion’s Auction by Captain Hill’s son, and are presented in their original condition.

Several items will be on display during the 2007 Ohio Military Valley Show of Shows International Militaria Event to be held February 22-25 at the Kentucky Exposition Center, in Louisville.  For more information visit www.manions.com and click the NSDAP High Official’s Silver Service banner on the front page, or call 866.626.4661.
