15TH AIR FORCE PILOT`S A-2 FLYING JACKET W/ ATTACHED BELL OF CAPRI, WWII

Nicely preserved A-2 leather flight jacket (possibly private purchase), approx size 39-40R, w/ Italian-made excised leather 15th AF bomber squadron patch, US flag patch, sewn-on leather name tag & leather lieutenant bars. Brown cotton lining, working Talon zipper & 900 silver marked Bell of Capri from San Michele. Knit cuffs professionally replaced. Patch depicts the "Flying Boxcars" - the nickname of the B-24 bombers of the 15th AF in the Mediterranean during WWII. Don`t often see these coats in this condition anymore, not to mention in this desirable larger size! Condition: 7 Weight: 3.30 lbs
