Bronze plaque, 5-1/4" dia., bass relief. "Nuts" refers to General Anthony McAuliffe`s remark when the German command sent them an ultimatum to surrender during the battle of Bastogne in Dec. 1944. When McAuliffe was told of the German demand he said "Aw, nuts." The official typed reply: "To the German Commander, NUTS!, The American Commander". Condition: 7 Weight: 0.85 lbs
