JAPANESE ARMY PRIVATE 1ST CLASS WOOL TUNIC [DTD. 1940]

Good to VG- example of a WW2 Japanese Army wool tunic for a Private 1st Class, approximate size 36-38, made of OD wool, single hook to collar, 5 button front, two upper hidden pockets w/scalloped buttoned flaps, two lower hidden pockets w/flaps, left waist stable loop w/button [buttons are plain, gold-finished steel], double split tail, and white cotton interior lining with two pockets, maker marked and dated 1940. Collar has matched set of Private 1st Class rank tabs [two yellow bevo stars on red ribbed base, sewn to OD wool base, then sewn to collar]. Lower left pocket has owner`s small white cotton bag w/draw ties, purpose unknown. Tunic displays overall light use and wear, and has loop to inside neck for hanging purposes. Condition: 8
