JAPANESE ARMY MAJOR`S FORMAL DRESS HAT W/BOXED PLUME

Very good display worthy example of a WWII Japanese Army Major`s formal dress hat, approximate size 557, made of a fine dark blue-black wool having gold-wire Russia braid decor to sides and silver-wire star to top, gold-finished Rising Sun metal badge to front, patent black leather chincord with slides & gilt side buttons w/cherry blossom to top, black visor [displays some crazing], black oil cloth sweatband with orange silky ribbon tie, and black satiny lining. Comes with the blue-green boxed red and white plume, housed in blue-green stiff tube within the box. Rare hat in pretty nice shape!!!! Condition: 8
