1968 FLAGG `I WANT YOU FOR THE US ARMY` RECRUITING WINDOW CARD

Official, 1968 dated Government printong office marked example of the famous WWI recruiting poster by James Montgomery Flagg. Heavy card stock, 11 x 14". Over 4 million copies of the poster were printed during World War I, and it was revived for World War II, Korean & Vietnam. Flagg used his own face for that of Uncle Sam (adding age and the white goatee), he said later simply to avoid the trouble of arranging for a model. Used facetiously by anti-war groups in the 1960s.
