O21 - Military Manuals Books
US MILITARY MANUALS - WWI, WWII, VIETNAM, AND MORE - FOUR TOTAL
Click above image for full size photos below.
Certainly a diverse group of military printed material here - four books in all. Includes a copy of 1916 dated "Small Problems for Infantry", soft back with 191 pages, in nice condition - especially for being nearly 100 years old. Very interesting material provided, quick review indicates material found useful mainly on the squad level - with topics covered like - lost scouts, enemy in sight, and being under fire. Situation is presented, an action is taken, then the process is discussed. A heck of a lot more useful to the foot soldier than any other manual I have ever seen. Also includes: "The Admiralties: Operations of the 1st Cavalry Division 29 February 18 May 1944" an official publication by the Historical Division of the War Department from the American Forces in Action Series - 1945 dated. Also included is a hard back Remington Rand binder type book (woith metal and cloth binding mechanism) containing 1950s and 60s "Table of Allowance" information for many different areas of service. Also includes Custer Battlefield Monument 17 page booklet concering "Reno Benteen "Entrenchment Trail". Excellent price on this lot - squared away US reenactment unit may find the "Small Problems for Infantry" manual especially interesting. Condition: 7
