CASED RED CROSS MEMBERSHIP MEDAL W/RIBBON + 2 VET BADGES + ARMY PHOTO

This lot includes: 1) an original B/W photo of a young Army in uniform, comically wielding his Samurai sword. 2) a Red Cross Regular Membership Medal, established on June 21, 1888, and is 30mm in diameter, aluminum, w/obverse showing the Emperess Meiji"s hairpin, pawlonia, bamboo and the "ho`o" w/the Geneva Cross at the bottom. The reverse has two horizontal rows of characters "Meiji 21st year/Japan Red Cross Society" w/date of 1888. The grip has a Japanese phonetic character to it, and its bronze ring attached to 37mm wide watered silk red ribbon w/two pale blue 2mm stripes 2mm apart to each side, and there is a uniform hook attachment to back. Comes in a purpule pressboard case having dark violet velveteen display area; 3) Imperial Time-Expired Soldier`s League Badge [45mm x 28mm, matt silver finished w/gilt star riveted on, Kanji to back, w/vertical flat bronze tapered pin & open hook catch], displaying light finish wear to front; and 4) Imperial Time-Expired Soldier`s League Member`s Badge [28mm x 19mm matt-silver shield w/gilt star affixed by rivet, Kanji to back, vertical needle pin w/drop-in catch].
