Massive, Large Format Hard Cover (15" x 10")-  The Australian War Office has compiled, from original documents, approximately 500 pages of photo-copied records and letters of the New South Wales Corps 100th-102nd Regiment of Foot from 1795-1818.  The New South Wales Corps was formed in England 1789, and due to the unpopularity of the posting, it was often filled with officers on half-pay, paroled soldiers from military prisons, and troublemakers.  Very soon, the enterprising officers and soldiers of the NSW Corps, known to posterity as the `Rum Corps`, began dealing in the lucrative rum trade.  The Battle of Vinegar Hill (1804) and the Rum Rebellion (1808) also occurred in this period.  A fascinating and extremely useful resource for historians and enthusiasts of the period.
