Col Clarence Cornish Indiana`s first aeronautics commissioner, appointed in 1946, Cornish flew during World War I, became an instructor and later managed Fort Wayne Municipal Airport. He also flew during World War II. Grouping consist of embossed leather AAF rating certificate holder with card, 1917 dated Aircraft ID book on other countries aircraft and signed by him in 1975, 1918 dated booklet US Army Regulations, many early photos of aircraft, calling card, name plate, 1930 dated certificate making him Capt. in the Air Corps, 1923 dated magazine Aviation Progress, many newspaper clippings, ID cards, many of the items are signed by him, etc. Fantastic grouping all from one man!
