This great Japanese veteran`s lot includes: 1) nice example of the WW2 Japanese Imperial Time-Expired Member`s Badge, 19mm x 28mm, having silver shield bearing a gilt 5-pointed star in relief riveted on a fouled anchor and crossed broad-swords shield. Characters to reverse w/vertical flat & tapered bronze pin w/open hook catch. Comes in the gold embossed balsa wood case that has makers mark to edge of lid and padded sky blue display area; and 2) a nice example of the upper level Veteran Official`s Badge, having gilt Vet`s badge [with gilded cherry blossum riveted to center] attached by prongs thru pb backing plate to white watered circular ribbon base with center red stripe. Comes in gold embossed balsa wood box with white padded satin display area. Nice lot. Condition: 8
