Good- example of a Japanese Army black lacquered wooden serving tray which is 9" square, having gilt rim, neat interior design of Rising Sun flag, banners with gilt characters, Army star, mark and cherry blossoms & leaves. Gilt characters to bottom. There is a center thin crack and some seam splits, plus some cleanable soiling. Comes in the maker marked tissue wrapping [which displays some insect damage], and the lower half of the storage box. Condition: 7
