Pb, 122 pages. Collection of GI poetry submitted to "Stars and Stripes". Some really touching and occasionally funny stuff. This example was presented by the staff of Stars and Stripes, Mediterranean to General Jacob L Devers, Commander of the 6th Army Group. Devers accepted the surrender of German forces in Austria in 1945. His name appears in gold lettering on the front cover and on a presentation slip inside the front cover. A personal memento of a highly respected leader and some fine reading as well. Condition: 8
