EAST GERMAN VOLKSMARINE KAPITAN`S UNIFORM 3-PIECE SET

Very nice and rarely seen example of a 3-piece uniform set belonging to an East German Volksmarine Kapitan: 1) the tunic is approximate size 42, double-breasted, made of a dark blue wool blend, having open top pocket to left breast, 8 button front, two lower hidden pockets w/flaps, 4 gold-wire rank stripes to each cuff w/gold bullion star above them, and black satiny lining that is NVA marked with one buttoned pocket and label removed from neck area. Each shoulder gives evidence to some type of shoulder board once being attached and there appears to have been a badge once pinned on to left breast; 2) the matching trousers are size 36-38, pleated front, having 4 hideen button fly & waist with buttoned strap to waist, side pockets, rear hidden pocket w/buttoned scalloped flap, and black cotton lining that is Mdl marked with a care tag present, but another removed; and 3) NVA marked size 56 matching overseas cap having thin golden yellow cord piping and embroidered East German kokard to front. The black cotton lining is maker and size marked. Outfit displays very light use and wear.  Condition: 9
