JAPANESE ARMY LATE-WAR PRIVATE 1ST CLASS TUNIC

Average+ to good- example of an approximate size 36 WW2 Japanese Army late-war OD wool tunic for the rank of Private 1st Class, having hook to collar, 4 button front, two hidden pockets w/scalloped buttoned flaps [and white cotton inner lining], [never appears to have had the left waist buttoned stable loop], plain white cotton lining, and matching rank tabs to collar [two yellow woven stars to red ribbed base, sewn to OD wool, then to collar]. All buttons are gilt-finished, plain, 2-piece [some steel, some bronze]. Since there are noi maker markings, this item was probably never issued. However, while in storage, this item displays much moth tracking, one bite to back left waist and a nip or two elsewhere. Still fairly decent display item from the front under right conditions.  Condition: 6
