RARE NAVAL CADET M1872 DRESS BAYONET

24.25" overall, 18" steel blade shows past sharpening & buffing w/ricasso having stamped Crown maker proof & red felt washer. No traces of etched designs remain. Fouled anchor to brass clamshell, Imperial crown to brass crossguard & cast ribbed grip/hilt. Black leather scabbard shows age, couple moisture bumps & normal brass fittings w/frog stud. Rare early cadet display w/faint traces of fire-gilded brass finish w/age darkening to recesses. Condition: 7
