Nice lot of two examples of the Japanese Red Cross Membership Medals, established on June 21, 1888, to include: 1) 30mm aluminum version, grip having Japanese phonetic character to rear, ring attaching to the 37mm wide watered silk ribon, having uniform hook to rear and the pale blue 16mm Life Membership rosette affixed to front; and 2) 30mm coinage silver example [displaying blue, gold and raibow patina], grip having Japanese phonetic character to rear, and ring attaching to the 37mm wide watered ribbon w/uniform hook to rear. Lot comes with nice original early shot of three Private 1st Class Army soldiers attached to the Imperial Guard about a table, each wearing the early collar flashes. Photo removed from photo album.
