Very decent example [Good++ to weak VG-] of a WW2 Japanese Army black lacquered wooden serving tray, measuring 9" square, gilt top edge, burnt orange interior with bird sitting on a branch that has leaves and berries, outline of cherry blossom with characters inside and some gilt characters to left side. There are some gold characters to bottom. One corner exhibits seam split [inside and bottom], but still pretty decent display piece. Condition: 7
