JAPANESE ARMY PRIVATE 1ST CLASS TUNIC [1944]

This VG- example of a WW2 Japanese Army Private 1st Class OD wool tunic, approximate size 38, has hook to collar, 5 button front, two upper hidden pockets w/scalloped buttoned flaps, two lower hidden pockets w/flaps, buttoned stable loop to left waist [all buttons are gilt-finished plain steel, a few exhibiting some surface rust], double split tail, Private 1st Class rank collar tabs [each having 2 yellow embroidered stars on red ribbed base, sewn to OD wool], and has white cotton lining with two pockets that is maker marked and dated 1944. Tunic displays some light moth tracks from storage, but looks nice for display in spite of it. Condition: 8
