VG examples of a pair of matt silver-finished, Japanese WW2 Fire Brigade Merit Badges, to include: 1) 28mm in diameter matt silver-finished badge with gilt Fire Brigade emblem to center of outline of cherry blossom, just above crossed fire hoses and below gilt Kanji, bright silver-finished reverse w/some Kanji and vertical double needle pin attachment with open hook catches; and 2) 25mm x 20mm oval matt silver-finished badge with having gilt cherry blossom emblem to center [with Fire Brigade emblem inside], gilt characters above & below, all within bowed cherry leaf & blossom wreath around edge. Reverse has much gilt Kanji to bright silver base and silver-finished double needle pin attachments with open hook catches. Nice display set. Condition: 8
