Very nice example of a WW2 Japanese Fire Brigade Merit Badge, matt silver-finished, slightly convex, 36mm x 28mm, silver-finished reverse with Kanji and horizontal needle pin with open hook catch. Obverse has Rising Sun emblem to top above crossed fire axes, with Kanji beneath and wreathed edge of cherry blossoms and leaves. Comes in the gilt embossed balsa wood box, having cream-colored coffee felt viewing area. Nice display piece! Condition: 9
