51" barrel. 68" overall length. US style eagle to lockplate. "Made in Belgium" to top barrel flat. Steel barrel bands and buttplate. Very nice wood. Appears unfired. I think historians have disputed the old tale that traders priced muskets to the Natives by the number of stacked beaver pelts it would take to equal the length of the gun. True or not, just be glad we`re not pricing this long fellow in pelts, just dollars, and not a very tall stack, all things considered. When you take this one into the field, heads will turn. Especially, if you happen to be my height and this gun towers over you. Should be a lot of fun. And if you`re just looking for a decorator, be aware you may have to get a bigger fireplace.
