Average lot of two Civil War newspapers, to include: 1) "The Daily Free Press" for March 16, 1864, published in Burlington, Vermont, 4 pages, featuring stories about General Lee franticly sending out foragers, the collision of two U.S. steamships, a dedication to the 60th Regiment from New York [the "Fighting Irish"] and more, displaying spine split; and 2) "The Lowell Daily Courier" for September 2, 1863, published in Lowell, Massachuetts, 4 pages, featuring war marking map of Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley, plus many interesting ads including bounties, spine separations and splits, but perfectly readable. No brittleness to either. Condition: 6
