ESTATE GROUPING OF DECORATED WW2/KOREAN WAR GENERAL - PRESENTATION PLANS & PHOTOS

Part of a vast estate grouping, once belonging to MG Harlan Nelson Hartness, famed WW2 and Korean War General, to include: 1) lot of Hartness` copies of officer training materials used at the Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas in 1949-50 era, including "Army Operations-Defense" in problem areas of France and Germany, and "Development of a Communications Zone", both w/large lot of overlay and large color maps used in map problems and solutions; and 2) lot of 14 official B/W photos taken at various occasions [many w/Hartness], including LTG`s visit to 4th Division, Hartness in Paris reviewing troops, BG Officer in 4th Divison, Hartness engaged in strenous sport activities, photos taken at Frankfurt Casino Club`s Yellow Room during Officer Appreciation Day, pics taken at Ft. Leavenworth`s Command and General Staff College, and more. MG Hartness graduated from West Point in 1919, was promoted to BG in 1942, served with and commanded the 26th Infantry Division in 1945 [winning the Silver Star, Legion of Merit and 2 Bronze Star medals], later served as Assistant Commanding General of the 7th Division in Korea from 1946-1948, was named Commanding general of the 4th Division EUCOM in 1950, was promoted to MG in 1951 and retired in 1954. His foreign decorations include the Military Order of the White Lion from Czechoslovakia, and from France the Legion of Honor, Croix de Guerre w/Star and the Croix de Guerre w/Palms.
