This vintage book lot includes: 1) HC Volume 1 of "The American Conflict: a History of the Great Rebellion in the U.S.A. 1860-1865", written by Horace Greeley and published in 1879, 648 pages having maps and photo plates spread throughout. Piece of the spine has come off but is present; 2) "Life and Military Career of Winfield Scott Hancock", 1880 HC by John W. Forney, 500 extant pages [some missing, first several missing 1/3] w/illustrations throughout; 3) "Special Report on Diseases of the Horse", by U.S. Department of Agriculture, 1903 HC, 600 pages w/illustrations spread throughout; and 4) "Grant and His Campaigns: A Military Biography", HC by Henry Coppee, 1866, 521 pages with a series of military personality portraits spread throughout, bit of spine loose. Books do display their age. Condition: 6
