Beautiful, near excellent example of a British female Royal Navy Reserve Officer`s frockcoat, approximate size 38, worn by actress Elaine Line in a Hollywood war film. Made of Midnight blue wool, 12 button front, two lower hidden pockets w/flaps [studio costuming cardboard tag inside right pocket], split tail, two button belt to rear, and black satin lining w/named costume company tag sewn in and costume company marks to right sleeve lining. Buttons are gilt-finished, maker marked w/raised Royal Navy emblem to top. Studio added 3rd Officer rank shoulder boards w/buttons. Great opportunity to obtain an actress-named piece of film memorabilia and an original frockcoat in the bargain! Condition: 8
