STUDIO-MADE ACTOR-NAMED 1910 ITALIAN OFFICER`S UNIFORM SET, USED IN HOLLYWOOD FILMS
Click above image for full size photos below.
Nice studio-made uniform set for a 1910-era Italian Officer, as worn by actor Chas. [Charles] Vincent in a United Artist film production years ago. The size 39 tunic is made of cream-colored wool twill, w/4 button front, four hidden pockets w/openings in midst of white woven tress material, and white satin lining w/one pocket having costume company label inside w/actor`s name on it. The shoulders have studio-added loops for removerable shoulder straps, and each collar has matching cast set of silver-finished raised 5-pointed star emblems attached by prongs. The four buttons are actually French Foreign Legion variety [flaming bombs, two maker marked in Paris], making me wonder if the outfit was originally used prior to this for a FFL officer. Jacket exhibits a few light stains. Comes w/matching trousers, waist 32" and inseam 30" [altered down from a larger size], 6 hidden button fly, hook at waist, inside suspender buttons, and unmarked white cotton lining. Nice opportunity to get a named piece of Hollywood film history. Condition: 8
