VG example of the G.A.R. 48th National Encampment Veteran`s Badge, for event held in Detroit, Michigan from August 31-September 5 of 1914. Gilt-finished decorative pb brooch holds the 30mm wide red, white & blue satiny ribbon AND the gilt-finished pendant, maker marked on reverse "F.H. Noble & Co.". Pendant displays small darkened spot to right side and there is small fray spot on ribbon under brooch. Condition: 8
