G.A.R. 66TH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT BADGE [ROCKFORD, IL, 1919]

Example of a G.A.R. 66th Annual Encampment Badge, Department of Illinois, held in the city of Rockford ["The Forest City"] from June 10-11, 1919, which has very nice gilt-finished brooch picturing scenic area of Rockford and has a horizontal needle pin w/open catch. The red, white and blue satiny suspension ribbon w/gilt printing displays some fray separations to front, but is still holding together. Ribbon connects to very nice gilt-finished badge picturing an eagle holding shield while in flight, rising sun behind and dated 1864-1919. The reverse is maker marked "The Greenduck Co., Chicago." Ribbon brings down the condition on this piece, which otherwise would rate a VG+.  Condition: 6
