ITALIAN RSI NAVAL MEDICAL OFFICER`S DRESS UNIFORM SET [TORPEDO BOAT UNIT]

Excellent, superb example of a 1944-45 Italian RSI Naval Medical Captain`s dress uniform set, for an officer who was assigned to the anti-submarine flotilla, torpedo boats section. The tunic is approximate size 38-40, made of a nice grey gabardine, having a four button front, two upper and lower pleated patch pockets w/buttoned flaps, two sewn-in shoulder straps w/button [all buttons are OF-finished bakelite], split tail, Captain`s rates to each cuff [golden yellow cloth stripes w/rust red woven insert stripes sewn to OD wool base], and collar tabs to each collar [light brown velvet tab having dark grey metal Republican Gladius badge affixed to it, then sewn to royal blue wool base tab, which has gilt-finished metal fouled anchor device w/red enameled cross super-imposed over it attached to it. Slate grey satiny lining has one small pocket near tail and evidence of removed makers label from neck area. The left breast of tunic has 5 cloth ribbon bars on OD wool sewn to it [Order of the Crown of Italy, War Merit Cross, War Medal 1915-1918 w/2 stars, United Italy Medal and War Medal 1940-43 w/2 stars]. Comes w/the matching breeches, approximate 28" waist, 4 hidden button fly, hidden hook and button at waist, belt loops, pleated front, inside suspender buttons, inside 2-button strap to fly area, two side pockets, two rear pockets w/buttoned flaps, 2" wide black wool stripe down each leg w/center red wool piping, split cuffs w/cloth ties, and pale blue satiny marked lining [which displays a few tiny fabric separations where makers label was removed]. There is one very very tiny moth track & nip to left leg front. Beautiful, rare set!  Condition: 8
