LARGE FRAMED 1943 ORIGINAL OIL PORTRAIT OF WEHRMACHT OFFICER
Click above image for full size photos below.
31.5" x 26" period silver-finished wooden frame holding a 25.5" x 20" original oil portrait of an Army Officer in uniform, proudly displaying his newly won Iron Cross 2nd Class and also wearing his Black Wound Badge. Back of frame does NOT have a hanging device attached, but it can easily be added. The artist has signed and dated portrait in lower right hand corner. On the back of this painting are several re-inforcement pieces added to back, causing a faint bit of discoloration to front near top of Iron Cross ribbon. [POINT OF INFORMATION: This un-named officer is the brother of another Army Officer, whose oil portrait is also featured in this same auction. Look for it.] Condition: 8
