This very nice lot belonged to pilot instructor stationed at Randolph Field, Texas, during WWII. Includes private purchase A-2 style leather flight jacket, size 40, w/ leather name tag & original working Talon zipper; A-9 cloth flight helmet w/ AAF stencil & chinstrap; Ray-Ban pilot`s sunglasses in leather case; 12 x 8" riker mount w/ wing collection including sterling PB glider pilot wings w/ engraved initials & dated 4/45, sterling PB CCA (Civil Aeronautics Administration) War Training Service wings & PB instructor wings, plus sterling CCA badges, dogtags, patches & photo; pilot logs; seven period snapshots of pilot in uniform; personal documents; Randolph Field pictorial book; lots more. This is a fantastic grouping of one of the unsung heroes of WWII - the men & women who stayed home to help w/ the war effort & without which the war might not have been won. Super collection of one man's wings and a great jacket with fantastic documentation. Real groups like this are getting very hard to come by. Condition: 8
