Manion’s International Auction House Article Archive

These articles are provided as a service to the collecting community from Manion’s International Auction House. Manion’s has been brokering the sale of militaria and collectibles since 1970, and in that time hundreds of thousands of collectibles have come through the doors.

While Manion’s is known for military collectibles, many other items have featured on the auction as well. From autographs to Zippos, Manion’s has seen it all.

In the past, informative articles were published in Trendline  - a Manion’s publication. Later, Trendline became a section in Manion’s printed catalogs. With Manion’s Auction going to a completely online format, these articles have been lost along the way.

In an attempt, of sorts, to revive the publication we’ve introduced Trendline Online. It is, and will hopefully always be, a work in progress. Articles from past issues are posted, and new articles will be added often. Unfortunately, when our facility was devastated by a tornado in 2003 we lost much of our archived material. We hope to reproduce this content from the back issues we were able to salvage.

In addition, we welcome contributions from customers and collectors. The intent of the Trendline Online articles archive is to amass as much information as possible. Not only in the realm of military collecting, but it other areas of collecting as well. The articles need not be strictly “item” related, but could explore other aspects of the hobby such as buying, selling, attending auctions, reproduction information, etc.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to submit material, or have any questions or comments – collecting@manions.com - 866.626.4661.

A note to editors:

From time to time every publication needs additional content. We invite you to feel free to use the articles in this archive to fill up any empty pages you may have. However, you will notice some of the title links are directed to other websites. Those articles are already in use by a publication, and cannot be used without their consent.

We ask you contact us in advance, tell us which piece(s) you intend to use, and credit the author listed as well as Manion’s International Auction House. If your publication is available in hard copy, we also request you send us a copy of the issue in which the article ran. If your publication is online only, please send us e-mail notification and provide a link to www.manions.com.
